Lithium package
Replaced the 80 Amp hour lead acid battery in the diamond box on the tongue by two Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries of 100 Amp hours each. Each battery has a volt meter attached inside the diamond plate box. An additional battery disconnect switch allows to separate the two batteries. This is the disconnect switch on the right.
The batteries are connected via a Bluetooth module to the Renogy OneCore controller which has been installed inside the camper for battery monitoring.
Use the Ethernet cable push button to put the battery into sleep mode for storage. See the manufacturer’s instructions for details. The converter has been changed over (hardwired per manufacturer’s instructions) to Lithium mode. The solar controller has been configured for Lithium batteries also.
External USB charging port
Inside the Nautilus water compartment, an external USB charging port has been added.
The port has been used to power an amplified TV antenna.
SAE plug
An SAE 12 Volt plug has been added at the side of the diamond plate box for either an external solar panel or to power 12 Volt accessories, e.g. ham radio equipment.
120 Volt Inverter
A small inverter has been added inside the diamond plate box. It is wired to an inside outlet on the left side of the bed labeled “Inverter”. The inverter can be controlled from the inside via a wireless switch near the Alde heat controller.
Please note that the inverter should not power equipment of more than 100 Watts consumption.
Dimmable interior lights
The original two interior lights near the bed have been replaced by dimmable LED lights. In case they ever act faulty, a power cut-off switch has been installed on either side inside the small storage area above the bed.
Fans for Alde radiator
To decrease the heat up time during cold weather, two small computer fans have been added at the radiator underneath the left seat. A lighted power switch has been installed.
Ceiling fan level one
The ceiling fan has been equipped with a small electronics module (“buck converter”) to lower the RPM in level one setting. This allows the fan to run silently overnight with minimal noise and power consumption.
